We already know that good nutrition is extremely important for maintaining good health. Unfortunately it is not enough. I use the following supplements for my children daily.
Fish Oil: Our kids aren't getting enough omega-3 fatty acids by diet alone. We are imbalanced with too many omega-6 fatty acids. Take back control of that ratio, while giving you kids some extra fat. Fish oil is especially important for anyone with skin issues. This is the tastiest and best produced fish oil.
Multivitamin: Let's face it, we don't get enough of what we need daily from diet alone. I like this brand of vitamins because it contains Niacin, which is great for anxiety, skin, and allergies.
Zinc: Most of us don't get enough zinc. If your kids are often sick or craving sugar, then they are probably low in zinc. If you have any skin issues with your kids, then they are probably low in zinc. If you are eating a vegan diet, then zinc supplementation is crucial.
Vitamin C: The best way to get Vitamin C is from food, but with the way our food is grown, supplementing is a great idea. I give my kids Vitamin C daily and if they are sick, hourly. You know when you have hit your tolerance level when you have loose bowels. Every person will be different, but you might be surprised how much you or your kids can take before you hit your bowel tolerance.
Probiotics: Remember eighty percent of our immune system is in our gut. Let's keep that gut filled with good bacteria.
